SSAT数学考点：英制单位换算常识例题分析

　　SSAT数学部分的考察内容不超过国内初中教学的知识范围，难点就在于都是采用英文命题，在理解应用题的题意时，一定要熟悉最常见的表达方式。题目中不会出现复杂的精确计算，但是考查考生的估算能力，所以计算器是不允许带入考场的。数学两个部分的难度和范围完全一样，SSAT会在数学两个部分之间插入一个非数学的部分，是为了让考生科学用脑。

　　What is the cost of nine ounces of cheese at $0.80 per pound?

　　常识：1 pound （磅）= 16 ounces （盎司）

　　解析：

　　因为 1ounce=1/16 pound，

　　所以 9 ounces= 9*1/16 pound = 9/16 pound，

　　所以 cost=0.80*9/16=$0.45

　　例题3

　　A tank of oil is three-quarters full. When full, the tank holds 56 gallons. How many quarts of oil are in the tank now?

　　常识：1gallon（加仑）= 4quarts（夸脱）
