  在AEIS阅读中最容易出现的问题就是对于长难句的理解,句子看不懂那就与高分无缘,所以攻破长难句可以说是做好阅读必备的技能,今天我们就来看一看该如何去分析长难句。

  长难句分析

  Eg.1:

  Such associations can be powerful enough so that odours that we would generally label unpleasant become agreeable, and those that we would generally consider fragrant become disagreeable for particular individuals.

  主句:Such associations can be powerful enough

  分句简化:… so thatAbecome agreeable, andBbecome disagreeable (for particular individuals). (…因此A变得令人愉快,B变得令人不快)

  A:odours that we would generally label unpleasant

  B:those (odours) that we would generally consider fragrant

  词汇:

  association 联想,联系;协会

  odour 气味

  label 给...贴标签,给...扣帽子

  unpleasant 讨厌的,使人不愉快的 → agreeable 令人愉快的

  fragrant 芳香的

  Eg.2:

  Contrary to the arguments of some that much of the pacific was settled by Polynesians accidentally marooned after being lost and adrift, it seems reasonable that this feat was accomplished by deliberate colonization expeditions that set out fully stocked with food and domesticated plants and animals.

  主句:it seems reasonable that …

  句子简化:Contrary toA,it seems reasonable thatB. (与A相比,似乎B是合理的。)
