　　1 两方观点有明显冲突，选出一方

　　1)Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this could have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. (C9T3)

　　范文观点：增建体育设施并不是提高公众健康水平的最好方法，还有更好的方法如对烟酒等不健康产品征收高税。

　　解析：A观点认为增建体育设施是最好的方法，B观点认为有更好的方法，这两者是明显冲突的，考生总归要得出是否是最好办法的一个结论。A有绝对词the best way，选B好写。

　　2)It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician. Discuss both views and give your opinion. (C7T1)

　　范文观点：在体育或音乐方面获得较高造诣是需要天赋的。

　　解析：A观点认为在体育或音乐方面并不是所有人都有天赋，B观点认为所有人都可以被培养成为好的运动员或音乐家。明显冲突，B太绝对，选择A。

　　3) Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair. (C6T2)

　　范文观点：成功的运动员拿高薪是合理的。

　　解析：针对成功的运动员比其他重要领域的成功人士工资高这一现象，A观点认为合理，B观点认为不公平。到底合不合理，这也是冲突的论题。

　　2 两方观点都有道理，融合一下

　　Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. (C8T1)

　　范文观点：教育孩子成为社会有用之才，父母和学校都有责任。

　　解析：A观点认为父母有责任有道理，B观点认为学校有责任也有道理，二者都不可或缺，没法选择，所以融合一下比较合理。

　　3 两方观点都有明显漏洞，改良一下

　　Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. (C6T4)

　　范文观点：变化不可避免，但变化不总是好事。

　　解析：A观点说有些人喜欢做同样的事情一成不变。此观点的漏洞是，这样的生活方式不太现实，因为有些变化是个人无法规避的。B观点说变化总是好的。它的漏洞是always太绝对，事实是有很多外界强加给个人的变化并没有好的结果。对于这类题目可以对两方观点都进行反驳，最后提出自己的改良版本。

　　纵观2014年的雅思真题可以发现，大多数双边讨论的题目是第一个类别，可以选出自己的倾向;小部分的题目是第二类，需要融合一下;但是并没有题目可以归属为第三类，说明需要改良的题目还是少数。以下是2014所有双边讨论的题目供大家练习观点的确立。
