如何破解托福听力主旨题？

　　在托福听力考试中，主旨题是大家公认的最简单的一道题，但是如果不掌握一定的解题技巧和关键策略的话这道题同样可能丢分。所以在备考中，我们要在能拿分的点上拿满分。

　　首先，从考察形式上看，主旨题分为主旨内容和主旨目的题两种。

　　a.gist-content

　　此类内容主旨题一般问文章中主要讲的内容，着重考察文章的总体大意。

　　内容主旨题比较多地出现在校园对话中，考察的主要是关于老师布置的作业或者论文。

　　主要问法包括：

　　•Whatis the L/C/talk mainly about? （此种较为常见）

　　•What does the prof. mainly discuss?(注意此种为出现最多的考察形式)

　　•What is the main topic of the lecture?（此种较为常见）

　　•What aspect of X does the prof/ L mainly discuss/about? （此种比较少见，考察的更加细致）

　　•Whatis the stu’s problem?

　　•What problemdoes the man have?

　　b.gist-purpose:

　　•问对话的目的

　　•Why does the stu. go to see his professor/librarian…?

　　•Whydoes the stu. goto spl. ?

　　•Whydoes the prof. want to see the stu.

　　•Whydoes the prof. ask the man to come to her office?

　　•问讲座的目的

　　•What is the (main) purpose of the L(讲座)?

　　•Why does the professor ask X? （特殊的问法：如果这类题目出现在第一题，很可能是考察主旨。）

　　听力对话的主旨题解题方法

　　1 对话主旨展开方式有以下三种：

　　a.直奔主题

　　注意文章的第一句话，一般在这一部分会直接说出文章的目的，因此在听的时候要特别留心文章的开头段。这类语段切入很快，要求学生立即抓住关键词，一定要练到自己的反应速度能够很快地抓到文章开头的关键词。

　　例1

　　Hi, I need to pick up agym pass.

　　例2

　　So professor Tidbits, your notes said that you wanted to see me aboutmyHemingway paper.

　　b. 寒暄式

　　注意简短的寒暄之后一定会切入到文章主题。注意寒暄之后的关键词，例如“talk about”和“clarify”等。

　　例1

　　•——Hi, Professor Adkins, you wanted to see me?

　　•——Hi, Bill, thanks for coming. I wanted to talk to you about…

　　学生对于“talk about”要十分敏感，因为其后面往往跟着主旨。

　　例2

　　•——Good afternoon, Alex! Can I help you with something?

　　•——Well, I wanted to talk with you aboutthe research projectyou assigned today. I um…I hope you couldclarifya few things for me.

　　c.特例

　　对话主旨题中比较少见的情况，会出现一些特例，文章的主旨出现的位置比较靠后，在1分钟左右才抛出目的。听的时候要注意文章中提出的真正目的。

　　例1

　　I’ve got theformthe registrar gave me. Um, with me to get herpermissionto take the class. It’s all filled out except for hersignature. I’m hoping she’ll let me in even though the class is full.

　　2 解题要点

　　对于对话类问题，大部分的主旨题出题都在开头位置。

　　a.熟悉目的引导句句式；

　　b.快速抓住句中关键名词或动词。

　　常见引导句归类如下，对如下的引导句要做到敏感：

　　•I’d like to /want to discuss/talk about…

　　•I was wondering if / I was hoping that…

　　•I need/ want/ hope/ am looking for…

　　•I have a question about…

　　•I can’t / have difficulty with…
