香港PTE：你有“数字恐惧症”吗

　　　不少备考PTE考试的小伙伴一上考场就紧张到忘记所有知识，语法、句型自以为熟练于心，就连遇到最最简单的数字，也在PTE口语题型DI的时候卡住说不出口。不过数字的相关表达是很多考生的忽视点，总是一知半解，备考并不全面。下面课窝网就再次为大家全面梳理有关知识点。

　　个十百千万

　　相比较中文当中的“个十百千万亿”这种，英语里的数字单位会有些不同，比如我们的“万”这个概念，英语里则是“十千”—— ten thousand，“亿”则是“百百万”—— a hundred million。

　　表达几位数

　　single-digit number: 一位数

　　double-digit number: 两位数

　　three-digit number: 三位数

　　举个例子

　　ten thousand: 一万

　　a hundred thousand: 十万

　　a million: 一百万

　　ten million: 一千万

　　a hundred million: 一亿

　　a billion: 十亿

　　ten billion: 一百亿

　　a hundred billion: 一千亿

　　a trillion: 一万亿

　　注意：具体的数字的hundred, thousand不加s：不确定表示“几千、数千计”的就用thousands of

　　比如:

　　3000是three thousand;

　　30000是thirty thousand;

　　30万是300 hundred thousand, 都不加s;

　　Million和billion也是相同逻辑

　　千位数：书面、口语表达方式

　　千位百位都是有数字，个位十位都是零的数字，口语中常常把前两位按十位数念出来，再加上hundred。

　　例：1500即fifteen hundred(口语)，

　　one thousand and five hundred(书面)

　　但如果是整千的数字，也就是百位数是零的话，比如5000，就不能说成“fifty hundred”，而应该念“five thousand”

　　不是整百或整十的数字怎么念?

　　举个例子

　　1555: fifteen hundred and fifty five或者one thousand five hundred and fifty-five

　　15555: fifteen thousand five hundred and fifty five

　　155555: a hundred fifty-five thousand five hundred and fifty five

　　629：six hundred twenty-nine(口语,书面)

　　窍门就是从右往左数三位，留下几位再跟正常的数字读，就是分两段啦!

　　比如155555，从右往左数，155 -555，分成两段啦：第一段155念one hundred and fifty-five, 后面再加一个thousand就好;第二段就是555，念five hundred and fifty five。

　　价格

　　表达价格的时候，念法都会有所简化。比如小数点(demical point)就会直接省略，不用说point; 而dollar等钱的单位在口语里也常常不说。

　　$9.30：nine thirty:

　　$9.95：nine ninety-five:

　　$99.95：ninety-nine ninety-five:

　　常用表达

　　price tag: 价标

　　dollar：美元

　　Euro：欧元

　　小数和分数

　　小于1的小数(decimal)，最前面的零口语里可以省略，比如0.8就是point eight。分数(fraction)的念法和中文是反过来的。分母念序数词，分子念基数词。

　　比如1/5是one fifth; 3/5是three fifth, 1/10是one tenth，书写的时候，后缀要加th.

　　常用表达

　　小数：decimal

　　百分数：percentage

　　分数：fraction

　　1/4：one fourth/one quarter

　　1/2 (2/4)：one half (two fourths)

　　3/4：three fourths/three quarters

　　日期

　　在英文中，可以先说日期也可以先说月份：

　　1月1日

　　The first of January / January the first.

　　　记得在说日期时要使用序数词

　　(The first, the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, the twenty-second, the thirty-first etc.)

　　年份

　　在2000年之前的年份，可以把四个数字分成两部分说：

　　1965 = nineteen sixty-five

　　1871 = eighteen seventy-one

　　1999 = nineteen ninety-nine

　　2000年之后的年份，(英式英语中)要说"two thousand and ..."：

　　2001 = two thousand and one

　　2009 = two thousand and nine

　　算术

　　+ (plus)

　　2 + 1 = 3 (two plus one equals three)

　　- (minus / take away)

　　5 – 3 = 2 (five minus three equals two / five take away three equals two)

　　x (multiplied by / times)

　　2 x 3 = 6 (two multiplied by three equals six / two times three equals six)

　　/ (divided by)

　　6 / 3 = 2 (six divided by three equals two)

　　如何说数字0?

　　根据语境的不同，有很多种说法来表达数字0：

　　2-0 (football) = Two nil

　　604 7721 (phone number) = six oh four…

　　0.4 (a number) = nought point four / zero point four/point four

　　0℃ (temperature) = zero degrees

　　温度

　　35℃：thirty-fivedegreesCelsius

　　-15℃：negativefifteen degrees Celsius

　　70°F： seventydegreesFahrenheit

　　百分比

　　15.1%：fifteen point onepercent

　　-20%：negativetwenty percent

　　0.35%：zero pointthree five percent / zero point thirty-five percent
