　　“with ＋复合宾语”结构用得较广，高中英语课本里不乏其例。这种结构一般多用作状语，表示伴随情况、方式、原因、时间、条件等，通常有以下几种类型，现归纳如下：

　　一、with ＋名词＋介词短语，用作状语，表示伴随状态或动作。例如：

　　1．English lessons are broadcast every day on the radio with ex-planations in English or other languages．

　　每天广播英语课，用英语或其他语言进行解说。

　　2．BBC English broadcasts programmes for China with explan-ations in Chinese．

　　BBC 英语为中国广播的节目就是用汉语作解释的。

　　3．The wood cutter was standing next to a fallen tree，with lotsof small pieces of wood in front of him．

　　伐木工人站在一棵倒下的树旁，在他前面有许多碎木片。

　　二、with ＋名词＋介词短语，作定语，相当于一个定语从句。例如：

　　1．AndthenIsawalovelydiamondnecklacewithabigbluestonein the centre．

　　后来我终于看中了一条美丽的钻石项链，中间还嵌着一颗大宝石。

　　2．The southern part of the island is a separate country，calledthe Republic of Ireland with Dublin as its capital．

　　该岛南部则是另一个国家，叫做爱尔兰共和国，首都是柏林。三、with ＋名词＋补语构成的复合结构作状语时，补语除用介词短语外，还可以由下列成分来充当：

　　1．with ＋名词＋ v-ing。例如：

　　The Yangtze River is very busy with so many boats and shipscoming and going every day．

　　每天长江上各种船只来来往往，显得格外忙碌。

　　2．with ＋名词＋过去分词。例如：

　　You should go to sleep with the light turned off．

　　你应该把灯熄了再睡觉。

　　3．with ＋名词＋不定式。例如：

　　With so many books to read，I can't kill my time by playingcards．

　　有这么多书要读，我不能用打牌来消磨时光。

　　4．with ＋名词＋形容词。例如：

　　I like to sleep with all the windows open．

　　我喜欢开着所有窗子睡觉。
