　　SAT阅读文章的题材不固定，只能通过统计历年考过的题材的频率，来预测最有可能考到的题材。而ACT阅读文章，不但在考试中出现的形式一致，连内容题材都是固定不变的。那么今天小编就给大家讲一讲SAT阅读中强调上下文中的单词！

　　在样卷中，这类题的问题形式为As used in line X,"Y"most nearly means，问题数量共10题，每篇文章2题，占阅读部分的19%。

　　从样卷中可以看出，考查的单词基本都是在托福阶段学过的单词，沿袭了现行考试中词汇题考查的思路。只是更加注重考查词汇在不同语境中的运用，更加需要考生仔细阅读词汇所在句子，根据句中信息判断词义。比如“track”，如果没有仔细分析上下文就很有可能误选search for。“channel”在样卷文中也不是常用的意思，它在文中的意思，还需要从上下句中去判断。

　　下面这篇是Abraham Lincoln 在1863年11月19日在Gettysburg的一篇演讲词，文中多次重复使用了dedicate。

　　Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

　　Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of the field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

　　But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate--we can not consecrate, we can not hallow--this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.
