PTE阅读基础长难句解析2

　　在面对大篇幅的满是学术类单词的文章时，很多小伙伴们就充满了恐惧，其实PTE的阅读是可以遵循一定的技巧的。有一些PTE考试文章，小伙伴们应详细阅读某一部分的内容；而有些文章，小伙伴们应专注寻找某些有用字眼。

　　长难句分析

　　Genius is a term we apply to those whom we recognise for their outstanding achievements and who stand near the end of the continuum of human abilities which reaches back through the mundane and medicore to the incapable.

　　1.去除修饰成分，识别主干

　　Genius is a term.

　　2.拆分句子成分

　　① （which)we apply to those为定语从句，此处因为关系词which作宾语，故可以被省略。

　　②后面的句子中，whom引导定语从句，修饰those。

　　定语从句主语：we

　　定语从句谓语：recognise

　　定语从句宾语：whom

　　其后的and起到并列连接的作用，who引导定语从句，同样修饰前面的those。

　　定语从句主语：who

　　定语从句谓语：stand near

　　定语从句宾语：the end of thecontinuumof human abilities which...

　　3.积累单词、短语

　　4.翻译句子

　　我们用天才这个词来代指那些因其出色成就而被我们所认可的人，那些人几乎处在了人类能力连续体的顶端，往下依次是平凡者、平庸者和无能者。

　　1.去除修饰成分，识别主干
