
people'shopping habits depend on age group rather than other factors. Do u agree or disagree?

I strongly disagree with the statement thatage group is the sole decider of people’s shopping habits.
It is true that people of different agestend to have varying shopping behaviours. Young people, for example, more oftenthan not prefer to buy things from the Internet while the seniors normallythink that shopping from a physical store is more desirable. And the commoditiesthat shoppers buy also differ with age. Children are always attracted to snacksand toys, but as they grow up, their interests gradually shift to other itemsincluding electronic gadgets and fashionable clothes and accessories, etc..
Yet, shopping is such a complex issue thatinvolves so many spheres that it is by no means fair to say that age is theonly factor that influences how people shop-there is a wide range of factors toconsider. A ubiquitous cause of people’s different buying habits is gender. Walkingin a shopping mall, females spend much more time comparing between differentstores and talking to the salespersons without feeling a slight sense ofboredom. For most males, this is a torture.
A person’s financial situation alsodetermines his purchasing pattern. Students, who usually have no stable sourceof income and only live on a part-time job, are prone to adopt a thriftylifestyle, buying no more things than necessary items, since maybe they stillhave a tuition loan to repay upon their graduation. However, those who are welloff enough, understandably, do not hesitate when they see things that theydesire- why wouldn’t they spoil themselves while they can?
All in all, how and what people shop is theresult of a mix of reasons which are entangled with each other. It is notsensible to single out age as the sole factor.
