　　Domestication

　　Domestication is an evolutionary,rather than a political, development. They were more likely to survive andprosper in an alliance with humans than on their own. Humans provided theanimals with food and protection, in exchange for which the animals providedthe humans their milk and eggs and -- yes -- their flesh.

　　答题要求

　　1.对于分数要求高的同学们争取25s以内读完，短的20s以内读完，读完就点NEXT，不要犹豫;

　　2.没到句号的地方不要停顿，逗号其实可以忽略的，气群不够长可按照意群小小地停顿一下，否则速度上不去;

　　3.而对于分数要求不高且基础不够好的同学们保证规定35秒以内读完即可，不要过度追求速度导致发音模糊。

　　例题解析

　　1.Using correct pronunciation.发音是口语中的一个重要的评分标准。首先，把较难的单词的发音掌握好(以下采用英式音标)，同学们要做到简单的单词不读错，不认识或难的单词少读错，特别是带有常见元音的单词。

　　Domestication [dəʊ,mestɪkeɪʃən]is an evolutionary [,iːvə'luːʃənərɪ],rather than a political, development. They were more likely to survive andprosper['prɒspə] in an alliance [ə'laɪəns]with humans than on their own. Humans provided the animals /'ænɪm(ə)l/with food and protection, in exchange[ɪks'tʃeɪndʒ]for which the animals provided the humans their milk and eggs and -- yes -- their flesh [fleʃ].

　　以上标记音标的单词包括生词和带有常见元音的单词(也是容易出错的单词)。由于汉语拼音因为没有[æ]，中国人习惯用[e]来替代，比如把“bag”[bæg]读成“beg”[beg]。
