PTE阅读考试练习题（一）

　　相信大家在备考PTE当中，遇到很多无法跨越的障碍，比如阅读这个部分，下面和小编一起来看看有哪些阅读练习吧。

　　例题

　　A、It has been successfully used in the United States to provide input into resource exploitation decisions and assist wildlife managers and there is now enormous potential for using population viability to assist wildlife management in Australia's forests.

　　B、One tool for assessing the impact of forestry on the ecosystem is population viability analysis(PVA).

　　C、This is a tool for predicting the probability that a species will become extinct in a particular region over a specific period.

　　D、To make political decisions about the extent and type of forestry in a region, it is important to understand the consequences of those decisions.

　　解析

　　首先我们来看A选项，“It has been …” 这里的It很明显是一个人称代词，它应该是衔接在某一段后面的，那么接下来我们就要去找这个It指代的是什么。

　　接下来看B选项，“One tool for assessing the impacts” 这里的重点是One tool和impacts，这时候有一个迷惑点就是很多同学会觉得A接在B后面也很顺，的确It可以指代的是这里的One tool啊?这样想是正常的，你可以先把A放在B之后，再继续往下看C和D选项。

　　C选项一开始就说“This is a tool…” This是一个指示代词，指代的是B选项中的PVA，同时a tool和B选项中的One tool呼应。这就说明C肯定衔接在B之后。同时从语境和逻辑上来说，C选项是在解释PVA的整体作用，而A选项则讲的是PVA的具体应用情况，A当中的It指代的是C中的a tool, 所以应该是CA的顺序。这样就BC一分到手，CA一分到手。

　　比较让人困惑的还有D选项，很多同学会觉得D选项乍一看和其他选项没有关系，到底该放哪儿?在这里我们需要注意的是“…understand the consequences of …” 这句话中的consequences这个词，“后果、结果”，你忘了B选项里的impacts了吗?D选项就是全文的主旨，consequences和impacts对应，PVA即是用来评估这些consequences的tool。那么很明显，D放在B之前。
