SAT阅读中语境词汇题解题技巧

　　大家平时背诵SAT词汇时，都是一些基础定义。但在SAT阅读中，小伙伴就要注意上下文的意思揣测其潜在含义，要多多基于文本分析。下面课窝网就为大家介绍关于SAT阅读中词汇的解题方法。

　　解题方法：

　　1、注意上下文的语境

　　先从整体上给大家提个醒，一般来说各位同学在解语境词汇题的时候往往是直接根据原文给的定位句来解题的，这点无可厚非，在17年考过的76道题目当中有60道题目都是直接根据定位点就可以解题的。但是这个并不是百分百可以搞定语境词汇题的解法，毕竟还有16道题目是需要结合上下文解题的。甚至于有的题目给大家的解题线索距离定位句还比较远，比如17年5月亚太考试的第十五题。

　　如果单纯看这段话，想要知道35行magnitude在语境中的意思几乎不太可能，其实在原文26行的时候又说道这样一句话，The closer the correlation is to 1, the stronger the relationship.也就是说在统计学当中强相关应该是用strong来修饰，那么选项就应该选一个跟strong相关的选项，也就可以轻松选出来A选项。 这就是我坚持各位一定要尽可能的浏览一遍文章在做题的原因，有时候你不知道文章整体的内容，题目就是没有办法做出来的。 毕竟CB中心也没有规定说考察的语境就是定位句的语境，语境是一个很宽泛的概念

　　2、of结构解题方法

　　17年有6道题目考察的是of结构，有些同学可能会觉得很奇怪，of不就是代表的一个从属关系么，有什么好考的？其实不然，of结构在英文当中其实还有另外一个用法，比如大家看下面17年1月北美的考题

　　They are the very cements of this Union. They don’t make the house a “house divided against itself.” They are the props that hold up the house and sustain the Union. But has it been so with thiselementof slavery?

　　As used in line 67, “element” most nearly means

　　A. ingredient.

　　B. environment.

　　C. factor.

　　D. quality.

　　在这道题目当中，如果把element of slavery 当做从属关系来看是讲不通的吧，因为element这个抽象的概念不可能成为slavery从属的一部分，所以只有另外一个可能性，那就是这里的of代表的是同位关系。当大家在阅读英文的时候看到抽象词+of+具象词这个结构的时候代表的就是同位关系，此时的of代表的是a kind of，也就是说element of slavery=slavery is a kind of element，这时候题目就可以迎刃而解了，slavery不可能是一种组成成分，一种环境或者一种性质，只能是一种因素，因此此题选择C选项，如果结合上文语义来说，奴隶制是会引起我们分裂的一种因素

　　同样的道理17年12月份香港的第22题

　　According to popular belief, within the pupa, the caterpillar’s body is completely overhauled, broken down into aformof soup and rebuilt into a winged adult.

　　As used in line 11,“form”most nearly means

　　A. style.

　　B. component

　　C. kind

　　D. method

　　原文的form of soup依旧符合抽象词+of+具象词的公式，此时soup代表的是一种形式，因此此题选择C选项。注意这题不能选择A选项，因为style一般代表的是做事的方式或者设计出来的样式。

　　大家其实可以对照上面的两道题目看一下第三道例题

　　Do you think that thenatureof man will be changed, that the same causes that produced agitation at one time will not have the same effect at another?

　　As used in line 84, “nature” most nearly means

　　A. force.

　　B. simplicity.

　　C. world.

　　D. character.

　　此题当中依旧是一个of结构的用法，但是如果把他当成是同位关系，man is a kind of nature那明显是讲不通的，这里的of就是一个从属结构，nature是man会拥有的东西，那么此题就只能选择character。

　　3、利用搭配解词汇题

　　SAT的词汇题非常注重对于搭配的考察，主要有以下三种考察模式：

　　1、动词需要与动作的发出者及承受者搭配得当

　　2、形容词需要与被修饰对象搭配得当

　　3、副词需要与动词搭配得当

　　我们首先看一道与动词搭配相关的例题，17年3月份北美考试的第13题

　　You say, “It’s a massive, stinking cesspool filled with garbage and crawling with every form of filth imaginable.” Immediately my mindconjuresan image of a filthy retention pond covered with scum, loaded with trash and lousy with rats and roaches.

　　As used in line 9, “conjures” most nearly means

　　A. charges.

　　B. summons.

　　C. enchants.

　　D. practices.

　　此题有些同学不知道conjure的意思，因此不知道该选择哪一个选项。但是语境词汇题更关注的是原文的语境，原文考察的conjure属于动词，把动作的发出者及承受者剥离出来可以得到下面这个结构mind conjures image，因此只需要考虑那个选项放在mind和image之间最合适即可，此题只能选择C选项，头脑当中出现了一幅图像

　　再来看一道与形容词搭配有关的例题，17年12月份亚太地区考试的第44题

　　Moreover, plants are also capable ofrefinedrecognition of self and non-self, and are territorial in behavior.

　　As used in line 24, “refined”most nearly means

　　A. restrained.

　　B. precise.

　　C. exquisite.

　　D. progressive.

　　此题考查的refined为形容词，搭配的修饰对象为recognition，因此只需要考虑选项当中有哪一个可以修饰recognition即可，只有有这种思路可以非常轻松的选择B选项，即植物对于自己和异己有准确的认知。

　　同时各位同学一定要注意，SAT考试十分注重学生对于文章感情态度的判断，有些形容词相关的词汇题在选择选项的时候需要判断其选项的感情态度是否与原文相一致，比如看下面这道17年12月份亚太地区考试的第48题

　　Taiz says that the writings of the plant neurobiologists suffer from “over-interpretation of data, teleology, anthropomorphizing, philosophizing, andwildspeculations.”

　　As used in line 66, “wild" most nearly means

　　A. random.

　　B. unregulated.

　　C. agitated.

　　D. unfounded.

　　此题在阅读定位句的时候大家都会看到over-interpretation这个单词，此单词明显代表的是一个负态度，相应的与之构成并列关系的wild这个单词应该代表的也是负面态度，那么选项当中有负面态度的就只有D选项了，表示没有根据的。

　　最后一道与副词相关的例题，来自于17年5月份北美考试的第3题

　　In this suit that fit him soexquisitelyhe seemed even taller and leaner than I remembered him in the uniform of one sport or another.

　　As used in line 11, “exquisitely” most nearly means

　　A. skillfully

　　B. perfectly

　　C. primly

　　D. formally

　　此题当中exquisitely为副词词性，修饰的动词为fit，因此在选择答案的时候只需要考虑哪个选项能够跟fit相搭配就可以了，因此此题选择B选项，fit perfectly意为完美契合，注意C选项，primly表示的意思是端庄地。
