　　一、识别指示性语言RecognizingSign-Posting Language

　　通常情况下，雅思听力的4个部分中会有两个是“单人录音”，涉及日常生活、简单交际，或是学术知识。In two of the four parts of the IELTS listening test you will haveto listen to someonespeaking by themselves,one in asocial contextand one in alecture style.不同的背景下会有不同的指示性语言。When someone talks in this way they often use what is referred toas ‘sign posting’.

　　对话类听力中有两位speaker就某一问题进行讨论，考生不仅要听懂谈论内容，更要弄清讨论者的态度，这无疑为答题增大了难度~Listening to two people talking at the same time is a verydifficult skill to master even in your native language. In two of the fourparts of the listening test you be listening totwopeople having a discussion.讨论者甚至会有不同的口音、不同的讲话风格，他们可能同意/不同意对方的观点~The people might havedifferent accents,differentstyles of speakingand they mightagree ordisagreewith each other. It makes up 50% of the IELTS listening test soit’s one you have to master.

When you are listening to two people talking and this happens,try totake on the role of the person listeningand try tonote down the important detailsof the story or instructions.

　　三、记笔记Note Taking

　　大多考雅思的同学都是因为想要出国读书，而在外国读书就必须掌握高效记笔记的能力。

　　Most people who take the IELTS test do so because they hope to goto an English speaking university. One of the main things you will have to dothere is totake notes in a lectureandIELTS therefore tests this skill.

　　在你记笔记时，讲者是不会为你放慢说话速度的，所以简洁地记下全面的信息是关键。

　　When you take notes, the lecturer will not slow down for you orcare that English is not your first language, so you must learn how totake short notesand then transcribe them intomore comprehensive notes after the lecture is over (with correct spelling).

　　在之后再把笔记转换成语法和拼写都标准的写法，这个整理笔记的过程和填写答题卡非常相似。

　　笔记一定要简洁：Forexample, a chemistry lecturer might say‘Mix with20 milliliters of hydrochloric acid.’You won’t have time to write allof this so you could just write‘Mx w 20ml of HCl’.
