"长跑"可不是“long run"，别再说错喽！

　　快用完了

　　一般搭配:run short of something.

　　例：I forgot to tell you that I ran into Mary when I was at the movie theater.

　　敬而远之

　　“run a mile”表示在一种特定情况下，出于害怕或者不愿意，就不去做某事。

　　例：I wouldrun a mileif anyone told me to have two kids.

　　谁叫我生两个孩子，我就会敬而远之。

　　run around in circles

　　毫无成效地忙活

　　英文意译：Keep doing something without achieving any real results.

　　例：The deadline is coming up, but we've been running around in circles because the client keeps changing their mind about the design.

　　截止日期即将来临，但是我们一直毫无成效，因为客户一直在修改设计。

　　I got the run

　　我跑步×

　　我腹泻√

　　例：Sorry to be late. I got the run just now.

　　不好意思迟到了， 我刚腹泻了。
