　　inhabit

　　A very important world problem is the increasing number of people who actually (inhabit) this planet.

　　inhabit [ɪn'hæbɪt]

　　v.居住在，占据，栖息

　　句意：居住在这个星球的人口不断增加是一个重要的全球性问题。

　　定语从句“who actually (inhabit) this planet”修饰先行词people.

　　the number of ……的数量

　　（the increasing number of不断增加的人口数量）

　　inherit

　　Are phobias (恐惧症) something we (inherit) from our genes or do we acquire these unusual anxieties over time?

　　inherit [ɪn'herɪt]继承，遗传

　　inherit from从……遗传/继承

　　句意：恐惧症是我们从基因中遗传的，还是随着时间的推移后天形成的？

　　“we inherit from our genes”是省略了that的定语从句修饰先行词“something”.

　　(先行词不定代词时，引导词只能用that . )

　　句子的主干部分是and连接的两个并列句，后一个分句带有一个原因状语从句。
