　　UKiset阅读中有一类题型会让很多同学头疼不已，甚至很多同学出现只错这种题的情况，这个题型就是我们常见的词汇题。词汇题在阅读分数中占据三分之一，并且通常被考到的词汇也是非常关键性的，对理解文章整个的大意或整段的核心思想有着紧密联系。

　　1．at the expense of在损害…情况下，以…为牺牲

　　2．expose…to…使暴露于…， 使…受（危险，风险）

　　3．be exposed to… 面临…， 受到…。

　　4．beyond expression （=in a manner that cannot be expressed） 无法形容， 说不出的

　　5．give expression to 表达，表现 find expression in 表现

　　6．to …extent 在…程度上

　　7．in the extreme （= extremely） 极其

　　8．look sbin the eye 正视， 打量（某人）

　　34．be directly / indirectly related to…有直接/间接关系

　　35．set forth a compromise proposal提出折中提议

　　36．可以取代 “think”的词 believe,claim, maintain, argue, insist, hold the opinion/ belief that

　　37．relieve stress/ burden缓解压力/ 减轻负担

　　38．give (top) priority to sth.优先考虑/发展…

　　39．compared with…/ in comparison with与…比较

　　40．in contrast / on the contrary相反
