ACT官宣2020年9月开始实施拼分、单科重考、机考等政策！

　　10月8日，继SAT和托福以后，ACT也将在2020年迎来巨大改革，于2020年9月生效。此次政策变化是ACT考试实践的一大进步，对考生来说也是一种福音！

　　ACT考试改革的主要内容（划重点）：

　　1. 开始施行拼分制度；

　　2. 美国本土考场开始实行机考；

　　3.单科重考制度（根据目前的信息来看仅限美国考场）

　　※※ 需要注意的是，以上改革均在2020年9月以后生效。

　　选择一 单项重考

　　ACT Section Retesting

　　Students can concentrate their efforts.

　　ACT Section Retestinghelpsstudents focus study effortson individual subjects that are part of the ACT test (English, math, reading, science, or writing) without having to study for theentiretestagain. ACT Section Retesting is available to all students who have taken the fullACT test. Students can retake one or more single-section subject tests at approved ACT test centers across the US, to improve their scores.

　　提醒：

　　考生可以选择ACT五门科目中（英语，数学，阅读，科学和写作）的其中一项或多项进行重考，所考内容和单项时间和之前并无差别；

　　重考的前提是必须已经参加过完整的ACT考试；

　　官方一年提供七次重考，单项重考时间和常规ACT考试日期相同；

　　考生单项重考的次数无限制；

　　一次最多只能重考三门科目；

　　目前单项重考只有机考；

　　目前只有在美国，美国领土和波多黎各的ACT全国考试日中可以参加单科重考。

　　Students can strengthen their ACT score by improving individual section scores.

　　To support the growingtrend of students taking the ACT test multiple times,score report options will now provide the option for students to send their best ACT test results to colleges and include acalculatedACT Superscore.Superscoring allows students to submit their highest scores for college admission and scholarship purposes.The Superscore is a recalculation which shows the highest possible composite scoreacross multiple ACT tests and ACT SectionRetests.It reflects theaverage of the four best subject scores from each of the student's ACT test attempts.

　　相加：22+23+23+22=90

　　总和除以四：90÷4=22.5

　　四舍五入取整数：23

　　故该考生的ACT superscore为23分

　　提醒：

　　这个Superscore就类似于我们熟悉的拼分，考生可以在申请大学和奖学金的时候递交单项最高成绩；

　　并不是所有大学都能接受ACT拼分，尽管ACT官方反复强调他们的superscoring是“predictive – if not more predictive – of first-year grades as other scoring methods”的；

　　拼分+单科重考这个组合，还是有点强的。

　　Faster Results with OnlineTesting

　　Students will get to choose between online testing and paper testing.

　　Online ACT Testing will allow ACT’s testing experience tobetter align with how today’s studentsoften prefer tolearn and themode they prefer for testing. Starting in September 2020, studentswill be able tochoose to take the ACT test online or with paper. Giving students a choice allows them to focus on what’s most important: doing their best on the test. Students who take the test onlinewillget faster test results.In fact, students will receive their multiple-choice test scores and ACT Composite score as early as two business days after the test date. This allows students to make better, more informed, and timely decisions about the schools and scholarships to which they apply.

　　机考的成绩报考可以在考试后2个工作日获得，而纸考则一般需要等待2-8周的时间；

　　更快的出分速度对于考生的心情，上课安排，考试规划和申请进度等来说无疑是一大利好；

　　官方目前不会取消纸考，也不会强制考生选择机试或者笔试；

　　大学不会知道考生的ACT分数是来自于机考还是纸考。
