　　FIB（Fill in the blanks）是一道填空题，属于PTE阅读范畴，却对阅读和写作的分数都有影响。这种题型在PTE考试中将出现4-6道，一空一分，占分的比重不容小觑！

　　解题思路（重点部分）

　　1.先忽略空格，快速浏览整篇文章，理解所讲主题。

　　2.遇到不确定的空格，先跳过，把确定的先填好，完成的空格越多，剩下的空格越容易完成。

　　3.借助语言线索和词汇知识，注意句子的语法。

　　4.选择通常与空格前后单词相搭配的单词。

　　5.重新读文本，确保意思通畅，修改完后提交。

　　How can teens be so clever, accomplished, and responsible—and recklessat the same time? Easily, according to two physicians at Children’s Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School (HMS) who have beenexploringtheuniquestructure and chemistry of theadolescentbrain. “The teenage brain is not just an adult brain with fewer miles on it,” says Frances E. Jensen, a professor of neurology. “It’s a paradoxical time ofdevelopment. These are people with verysharpbrains, but they’re not quite sure what to do with them.”

　　In animals, movement is coordinated by a cluster of neurons in the spinal cord called the Central Pattern Generator (CPG). This produces signals that drive muscles tocontractrhythmically in a way that producesrunningor walking, depending on thepatternof pulses. A simple signalfrom the brain instructs the CPG to switch between differentmodes,such as going from a standstill to walking.
