　　众所周知，PTE阅读涉猎广、篇幅长，我们在阅读的过程中会不可避免的遇到很多长难句。如果我们不能正确的分析长难句，刷再多的题目也于事无补。下面就和小编一起看看今天的经典长难句分析吧。

　　1.去除修饰成分，识别主干

　　2.拆分句子成分

　　①Thus作连词引导原因状语从句：by comparing the Gm allotypes of two different populations(e.g.two Indian tribes)

　　②which作连词引导定语从句修饰主句的宾语their genetic 'distance'：which itself can be calibrated to give an indication of the length of time

　　从句主语：itself

　　从句谓语：can be calibrated

　　③since引导时间状语从句：since these populations last interbred

　　3.积累单词、短语

　　allotype n. 异形；标本；样本

　　calibrate v. 校正；定标；

　　give an indication of 给出提示

　　interbreed v. 杂交繁殖；品种间杂交

　　4.翻译句子

　　因此，通过比较了两个不同人群的Gm样本(比如两个印第安部落)，我们可以得出他们之间基因的亲疏关系，以及他们是什么时候开始从一支分成两支的。
