　　Well, the person I’d like to talk about is Cristiano Ronaldo, a professional footballer who plays as aforward前锋for Spanish club Real Madrid(皇家马德里足球俱乐部) and the Portugal葡萄牙national team.

　　2.How you got to know this person

　　Personally, I am quite interested in sports, even though I don’t have much spare time to do it. I love watching soccer games and oftenstay up late for that. I still remember that I first saw Cristiano Ronaldo on TV in an intense soccer game when I was a freshman back in high school. My bigger brother is also a huge fan of him, so we always spent a wonderful time together cheering for Cristiano Ronaldo in front of the television.

　　Cristiano Ronaldo is, without doubt, one of the most successful soccer players. Often considered the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time, Ronaldo has arecord-tying(追平记录的、创纪录的)five Ballon d'Or Awards(欧洲足球先生，也叫European Footballer of the Year), the most for a European player, and is the first player to win four European Golden Shoes. Besides, he has won 26trophies奖杯in his career, which is definitely an astonishing achievement for an athlete.

　　Ronaldo is mainly known for his outstanding footballing activities. His non-stop goals,hat-tricks(帽子戏法), trophies and broken records for both club and country are what make him the man he is today, but it does not just stop there. He is also well-known as the mostcharitable(慈善的、慷慨的)athlete in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo truly knows how to offer empathy and to help the world become a better place. He donates a lot togood causes(慈善事业)whenever he feels like doing so, whenever he is genuinely inspired to offer a helping hand. Cristiano Ronaldo isbrimming with(充满着)impressive empathy and this is probably one of the main factors that made him more than a successfulathlete, but a famous one.
